We are extremely excited to be working with our FC Cary family to support The North Carolina Walk & Roll to Cure FSHD. The money you are helping us raise supports programs and funds critical research that will directly affect patients with FSH Muscular Dystrophy (FSHD) and their families.

Our daughter Alexa was diagnosed with FSHD at the age of 13. Her identical twin sister Taylor had her own diagnosis confirmed a few years later. We have seen firsthand the life-altering effects of FSHD and the dedication of the FSH Society supported expert researchers who are working every day to find effective treatments and ultimately a cure.

Our family has been a part of FC Cary for more than a decade. Alexa and Taylor started playing in the same recreational program that we are proud to help run today. Over the years, we have met hundreds of truly amazing families and FC Cary has been a central part of our soccer world. At each step along the way, as players, coach, referee and now Director of Field Operations, the FC Cary community has provided a much-needed source of enjoyment and community around the game we love.

We look forward to walking and rolling with many of our FC Cary families on Sunday, October 7th at Bond Park. Check-in starts at 9:00am with the Walk & Roll to follow at 10:00am.

Please join our team today and walk with us or if you are unable to join in person, please consider making a donation to support our goal of finding a cure for FSHD.
