The money I'm raising by participating in this Walk & Roll is supporting programs and funding research that will directly impact patients and their families living with FSH Muscular Dystrophy (FSHD).

Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy, or FSHD, is a genetic disorder that leads to the weakening of skeletal muscles. It affects an estimated 1 in 8,000 individuals. It affects everyone differently, but over 70 percent of patients experience debilitating pain and fatigue. There is no effective treatment or cure—but there is hope. I'm committed to making sure that no one faces this disease alone.

Please visit the FSH Society website (fshsociety.org) to learn more about FSHD, ways to get involved, and everything that is happening!

Thank you for your support! - Sara

Within two hours, you all have exceeded my next goal of $500! Let’s get to $700! I am SO grateful for all your love and support!

I’ve increased my goal AGAIN! Thanks for your love and support!

Thank you so much for helping me reach my personal fundraising goal within the first night!! Let’s keep it going!

Hey everyone! Thanks for coming to my Team page! I was diagnosed with FSH my freshman year of college. What a time to be diagnosed, right?!? I was so lucky to have wonderful supports in my life: my family, friends, educators, and so many others. Hearing the diagnosis was not easy. Questions often pop into my head about what my future will look like.....How fast will this progress? Can people notice? How do I ask for help when I need it? Luckily I have been connected to the FSH Society, which has brought so many wonderful connections to my life. I have connected with fellow FSHers for support, I have connected with wonderful doctors and therapists, and I have been given hope for a cure! I am walking for not only myself, but for my dad, all the other wonderful people I’ve met along the way through the FSH society, and all other individuals impacted by the disease. Join me in by walking in our fundraiser for a cure! The cure is out there, let’s find it!
